- When the leaf thermocouple is placed in contact with a surface, the heat from the surface is transferred to the thermocouple junctions, generating a thermoelectric voltage that is proportional to the temperature difference between the two junctions.
- Leaf-type thermocouples are often used in applications where there is a need to measure surface temperatures of objects that are difficult to access or where traditional contact thermocouples cannot be used.
- Leaf-type thermocouples are available in different shapes and sizes to suit different measurement requirements.
- Leaf-type thermocouples are relatively easy to install and remove, and can be attached to the surface using adhesives or clips.
- They may require calibration to ensure accurate temperature measurement and may have limitations in terms of accuracy and reliability compared to other types of thermocouples.

The K Type thermocouple sensor is housed at the tip of a 15 to 30cm long stainless steel probe, which comes with long handle. It has a miniature type connector that will work with digital K-type thermometers. This stainless steel thermocouple probe can be inserted in liquids or any object you like to measure. It is much easier to clean than the thermocouple wire that comes with many thermometers.
